The examiners have adopted the Uniform Bar Exam (“UBE”). Day 1. The written portion of the exam is administered on the first day of the Colorado bar exam. The written portion of the bar exam consists of the Multistate Performance Test (“MPT”) and the Multistate Essay Exam (“MEE”).The Colorado Bar Exam is a 2-day Uniform Bar Exam (UBE). Day 1 consists of 6 30-minute MEE (Multistate Essay Exam) questions in the morning, and then 2 90-minute MPT (Multistate Performance Test) questions in the afternoon.


The Colorado Uniform Bar Examination (UBE) consists of three parts: The Multistate Essay Exam (MEE), the Multistate Performance Test (MPT) and the Multistate Bar Exam (MBE). In order to pass the Colorado Bar Examination, an examinee must sit for both days of the bar examination and achieve a score 276 scale points out of a possible 400.Acceptance of MBE Score: Colorado does not accept the transfer of any MBE score from an exam taken in another jursidiction. UBE Score Transfer: Admission to practice law based upon a UBE score achieved in another state or territory of the United States or in the District of Columbia within three years preceding application for admission to the bar.
